Douglas John Niehus, 56, of Le Mars, IA died on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen after a brief illness. A celebration of Doug’s life and Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at All Saints Catholic Parish-St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. The family will host a luncheon after the services. Visitation with the family present will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, with a scriptural prayer service at 6 p.m. at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will also be one hour of visitation before the Mass on Saturday morning. The Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home is assisting Doug’s family with arrangements.
