Westmar College alum and Le Mars native JoEllen Travis will be inducted into the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Softball Hall of Fame at the IGCA’s All-Star Games on Saturday, July 27.
Travis led Treynor to the state title in 2012 finishing the season with a record of 29-4 winning the state title over Des Moines Christian. Travis began coaching Treynor in 1992 and finished with a coaching record of 524-243 in 20 years with the program.
The All-Star games will be played Waukee High School on Saturday, July 27. Travis’ induction will take place in between the 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM games.
