WEEKLY FIRE-RESCUE CALLS
Le Mars Fire Rescue has had a busy period including the 4th of July holiday.
They report 34 total service calls between June 30 and July8, 23 were EMS and Rescue calls, including transfers.
There were four fire/Rescue calls. These included two fireworks-related calls, one a garbage can fire on July 3, caused by fireworks debris. Another fireworks debris fire happened just after the city fireworks show on July 4th. Another fire, caused by a generator malfunction damaged a camper. boat and siding on a garage (see below).
Le Mars Fire Rescue also met with Federal Emergency Management agency representatives to discuss flood damages.
