The Missouri River Activities Conference has released the all-conference teams and honors for the 2024 softball season. The Bulldogs received four all-conference selections led by Charli Grosenheider who earned Le Mars’ first-ever MRAC Player of the Year honor.
Grosenheider had a record-setting junior season that saw her break two single-season records within the Bulldog softball program. Grosenheider homered 13 times to set a new record and recorded a .925 slugging percentage to break the record. Grosenheider led the MRAC in home runs this season and finished third in RBIs (43).
It was also a record-setting junior year for fellow first-teamer Brenna Lerraas who struck out 271 batters to set a new school record. Leraas finished second in the MRAC in ERA (2.15) and in strikeouts as well. She did a great job limiting baserunners evidenced by her MRAC best opponent batting average (.181) and WHIP (walks plus hits per inning pitched) (0.95).
Natalie Vanderloo and Sarah Brown also earned nods on the first and second teams respectively. Vanderloo was the leadoff hitter for Le Mars sporting a batting average of .360 and showing some power finishing third in the MRAC in triples (3). She also led the team in stolen bases with 12 on the season. Brown finished her Bulldog career with her second all-conference nod.
