The Le Mars Community boys basketball team finally gets in on the fun of the season tonight when the Bulldogs host Sergeant Bluff-Luton to start conference play. The Bulldogs are looking to take the next step up in their development as basketball players this year. Head coach Cody Dyhrkopp says that means his staff will throw a lot at them, but he is confident they will pick it up.
Those good shots can translate as good high percentage shots. Coach Dyhrkopp says those come around the rim and also turn into free throw opportunities.
There may not be one key contributor that is returning for the Bulldogs, but there are many key contributors returning. With a roster that proves to be deep, Coach Dyhrkopp says he can keep a fresh lineup on the floor at all times.
The Bulldogs will play in the always-tough Missouri River Activities Conference which will bring some great competition once again. Add to that a tough non-conference schedule, and the Bulldogs will have their hands full every night. Coach Dyhrkopp says as long as his guys compete, he will be happy with the outcome.
Tip off for the Bulldogs tonight is at 7:00 PM.
