The Le Mars Community girls bowling team continued their undefeated start with a win at Sweet 16 Lanes over Council Bluffs TJ by the score of 2628-1412.
The wins continue to be impressive because Le Mars has not reached their full potential. According to head coach Gary Brady, there are one or two girls that are on their game any given meet, but the rest are not always coming along.
The one that has been the most consistent this year is Natalie Vanderloo. The senior led the team with a 392 series once again in their win over the Yellow Jackets. She says it is great to have her and Bailey Gill as senior leaders and lead the team on most days.
Vanderloo says the goal for the team has to continue to be filling frames.
The Bulldogs are 5-0 in duals and 4-0 in the Missouri River Activities Conference. Le Mars will continue their season at Sioux City East next Tuesday. Coach Brady says every one of his players are going through their own thing right now, and they need to find a way to be consistent as the season continues.
Start time for Le Mars’ next meet will be at 1:00 PM at Rush Werks Lanes in Sioux City.
The Le Mars Community boys bowling team continued their undefeated season with a 3126-2666 win over Council Bluffs TJ at Sweet 16 Lanes on Monday.
The score was the highest the Bulldogs have shot this season, and that was after having one of their varsity bowlers out for the meet. Head coach Travis Jones says it took a strong mindset to have some JV bowlers step up and compete hard.
Four different Bulldogs were over 425 for their individual series. Some of the top contributors were at it again like Sebastian MacGregor, Taylor Lindner, and Caden Heitritter. Coach Jones says those three continue to be guys they can rely on.
What has carried the Bulldogs so far can hopefully keep carrying them, and that is their baker games. Three of Le Mars’ five baker games were over 200 in the win over the Yellow Jackets. Coach Jones says the guys have fun in those games, and it is leading to a lot of success.
The Bulldogs are now 5-0 overall and 4-0 in MRAC duals. They face off with Sioux City East in Sioux City next Tuesday.
