The Bulldog girls basketball team snapped a three-game losing skid with a low-scoring 35-34 win at Sioux City North on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs were in deep trouble getting down 12-5 early in the first quarter. That trouble was caused by allowing too many offensive rebounds. Head coach Sidney Baumgartner says her team did a better job limiting those offensive rebounds as the game went along.
The Bulldogs finished with an unimpressive 35 points on the night, but the way they got their 35 points was impressive. Five different players scored at least five points and four of them had at least six points. Coach Baumgartner says the offense is in a bit of a slump right now, but once they get past it, they will be just fine.
The Bulldogs have two more games to play this week with the regular season winding down. Coach Baumgartner says they are going to be two physical games and will test the stamina of her team.
Le Mars is now 5-12 overall and 5-7 in the MRAC.
