LCT’s “Girls Weekend” Opens Tonight for a Nearly Sold Out Run

(Le Mars) – The first show of Le Mars Community Theatre’s 56th Season opens tonight at the Postal Playhouse, and seating for the upcoming 6 shows is extremely limited.
Why? Well, it’s turns out people are in need of a laugh, and this story line delivers.  “Girls Weekend” by Karen Schaeffer is about a book club who plan a girls weekend at a Northwoods cabin.  All the women are supposed to leave their men behind but, for all kinds of crazy reasons, they keep telling their guys to show up at the cabin.  Of course, each arrival is supposed to be a secret, leaving the women scrambling to hide their alternative plans for the evening.
The cast for this adult themed comedy includes a total of 8 players, all familiar faces on the LCT stage.

If you’d like to get ticket’s to the show, single seats are available for a few of the evening performances of the run that starts tonight and goes until Tuesday, March 11th.  Seating on Tuesday has the most availability.

Travis Balts character gets stuck trying to hide out in Carol’s (Janelle Thomas) bedroom. Carol has snuck her husband, played by Mitch Zenk, in for the night because they’re trying to have a baby.
