The Kingsley-Pierson/Woodbury Central/River Valley girls track and field team won 15 events on their way to a dominant championship at the MMCRU Co-Ed Relays on Monday night.
The weather was less than ideal, but that did not stop the Panthers from producing strong marks in most events. K-P/WC/RV co-head coach Dan Bormann says it was a great team win.
With 15 event wins, there was not much of a weak spot for the Panthers in the win. Coach Bormann says he has a deep team with athletes at every turn.
One especially impressive performance from K-P/WC/RV was the fact that they won every single relay race. It did not matter whether it was short distance or not, the Panthers took control of the meet there. Coach Bormann says they put an emphasis on being good there to give many athletes a chance to shine.
The Panthers will be back in action right away with a track meet at Ridge View tonight in Holstein.
