The MMCRU boys track and field team won their third meet of the year scoring 124 points to win the Class B title at Unity Christian’s Knight Relays.
The meet was incredibly competitive with teams like Gehlen Catholic, Hinton, Sibley-Ocheyedan, and more putting their best on the track. Head coach Colin Youde says getting to compete and beat a lot of good teams was a thrill.
The Royals have been on a nice run as of late getting some good times at the Sioux City Relays and competing well to win the South O’Brien meet last Thursday. Coach Youde says the guys are competing with a ton of confidence.
The Royals got some great times and performances from their usual suspects in their events. Coach Youde was also pumped for his throwers to exceed expectations like they did to dominate the discus event.
The Royals are focused on a couple of different things late in the season. Coach Youde says the Royals are looking to improve their times and are focused on performing well at the War Eagle Conference meet in a couple of weeks.
MMCRU next competes on Thursday in Hinton.
