Timothy John Ludwig, age 64, of Marcus, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home in Fort Mill, South Carolina, on May 15, 2025, surrounded by his immediate family. After a courageous two-year battle with cancer, our beloved dad experienced a rapid decline and is no longer with us.
A memorial mass for family and friends will be held at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Alton, Iowa (609 W 10th Street) at 10:30am on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, with Rev. James Tigges officiating, Rev. Daniel Greving concelebrating, Deacon Dan Goebel, Deacon Jerry Bertrand both assisting. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Marcus, Iowa (102 N Elm Street), where his remains will be laid to rest beside his father, Kenneth (Kenny) Ludwig. Visitation with family present will be 9:30 a.m. – 10: 15 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. We will have a celebration of life closer to home in the coming months.
