Plymouth County Fair Begins!
Today is the first day of the 2025 Plymouth County Fair. We will be previewing some of the great activities, food and entertainment you can enjoy today at the fair, and we will be highlighting the fun of the fair today and every day until the Plymouth County Fair winds up Sunday evening.

But first, we hear from a Go-Karting business owner who is bringing the races to the fair on Thursday. Michael Stofferan is the manager at Plessis Motor Speedway which offers Go Kart racing northwest of Hartley. He says he and many racers don’t use the term “Go Karts” because it can be misleading.
Stofferen says he build tracks and brings competitive go-kart racing to fairgrounds around the upper midwest. On Thursday night, the Go-Kart races begin at the Plymouth County Fair.
Stofferen says from past experiences at other fairgrounds, he expects a large number of competitive karters Thursday night in Le Mars.
Stofferen points out that there are karting races for all ages, and the kids that race find excitement and new friends through competition.
The Go-Kart races will be held Thursday evening at the fair. Go-Kart Hotlaps will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Grandstand and Go-Kart Races will be held at 7:00 p.m..
Candice Nash on Her Favorite Things at the Fair
Candice Nash is on the Plymouth County Fair Board and she is a big supporter of all the 4-H and FFA exhibitions and competitions at the fair. However, she explains that the static exhibits are some of her favorites.
Nash adds that the projects that are planned and produced by 4-H members, teach kids a lot of valuable life skills.
