Mike Wells says the mission of the Hometown Heritage Foundation is far reaching.
The Foundation’s Board of Directors includes several community stakeholders.
The inaugural board is Mike Wells, Adam Baumgartner, Michaela Brown, Cheryl Wells, and Brad Pick.
A search is underway for an Executive Director for the Foundation.
The Hometown Heritage Foundation will have an office in the Convention and Visitor Bureau building.
Floyd Valley Healthcare Board Meeting Tuesday
The Floyd Valley Healthcare Board of Trustees meet Tuesday morning (Aug. 12.) During a public hearing, set for 7:45 a.m., the board will hear comments on the Infusion Suite and Emergency Department Remodel project. This would include the proposed plan and specifications, proposed form of contract, and the estimated costs.
The meeting will take place in Floyd Valley Healthcare’s Administrative Board Room.
Other items on the agenda include a review of fiscal year 2025’s closing financial report.
Le Mars Police and Fire-Rescue July Reports
Le Mars Fire Rescue answered 210 calls for service in July. The monthly report listed 12 “all staff” Fire/Rescue calls and142 EMS/Rescue calls. The Department also provided coverage for the Plymouth County Fair and Le Mars Fireworks Show.
The Le Mars Police Department activity report listed covering 14 accidents in July, with 3 involving injuries. The Department issued 486 traffic citations and warnings last month and conducted 41 arrests. The total number of Le Mars Police “calls for service” totaled 662 in July.
