A Plymouth County couple will be traveling to Romania later this month to help distribute wheelchairs. John and Carol Schneider will be making the trip as part of a joint distribution program between Hope Haven and Rotary.
John Schneider says they made a trip to Romania earlier this year as part of a twenty-year celebration of Rotary and Hope Haven working together.
Schneider says the upcoming trip may also include going to Ukraine.
John Schneider is a former Rotary District Governor, and he has also served a two-year term as Rotary District Foundation Chair. He said this sparked his interest in the program and now he and his wife volunteer locally for the wheelchair program.
The Schneiders leave for Romania on October 19th.
