Hinton senior Bailey Boeve officially solidified her collegiate plans on Wednesday signing to play volleyball at Creighton University next fall.
Boeve was considered by some ranking services to be the best volleyball player in the state of Iowa in her class. This gave her the opportunity to be courted by some of the best volleyball programs in the nation during her recruiting process. She says that process was fun to be a part of and to get to know some different programs.
However, even during the early stages of the recruiting process, something stuck out within the Creighton program. Boeve says it was always at the top of her mind during the recruiting process.
Boeve says Creighton felt like the place she wanted to spend the next four years.
Another perk about Creighton volleyball is the proximity to home. Boeve says her family can travel easily to home matches which allows them to keep supporting her.
After one official visit to Creighton earlier, Boeve is excited to get back on campus this coming summer. She says meeting all of her teammates will be the best part of getting on campus for good.
An opportunity like this could open the door for more Blackhawks to make the move to play collegiate volleyball. Boeve says finding confidence early in your high school career can pay off when looking for a college home.
Boeve joins a Creighton team that has perennially been a national power. As of Boeve’s signing on Wednesday, the Blue Jays are the No. 12 ranked team in the country.
