Historical Museum opening Festival of Trees this weekend
(UPDATE) THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM IS CLOSED TODAY, SATURDAY DECEMBER 6. ALL ACTIVITIES FOR SATURDAY HAVE BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY DECEMBER 7. FOLLOW THE MUSEUM FACEBOOK PAGE FOR UPDATES.
Starting today, the Plymouth County Historical Museum will host the Festival of Trees over the next two weekends, taking over from the previous Christmas tree display held at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds. Speaking on KLEM’s “What Now” program, Jennifer Scholten says the event will be held indoors at the Old Central Gym.
The Festival was originally set to start during Christmas in Hometown Le Mars last weekend, but the museum closed due to the winter storm. Scholten says that some special guests will be present at the museum.
Scholten says that visitors will have plenty to look forward to, from entertainment to the trees themselves.
The museum also encourages guests to visit the museum’s nativity display on the fourth floor of the museum. The Festival of Trees will take place today and tomorrow, as well as next Saturday and Sunday.
