Red’s Printing Company sold to new ownership

Le Mars-based Red’s Printing Company has announced a change in ownership, with Maggie Catton taking over from previous owners John and Pam Hutchins effective January 1st. The announcement was made in a press release on Monday morning.

In the release, the Hutchins stated they were thankful for the four decades of community support they’ve received, and asked the community to continue to “choose local” for their printing and signage needs. The release states that Catton is “honored” to join the team, and looks forward to maintaining the same service customers expect, with no immediate operational changes planned.

The Hutchins had owned the company since 1983, when John purchased the business from his father, Dean. Since then, Red’s Printing grew from a small local print shop into a regional business for printing and signage, with the release highlighting that the company will continue to provide the same services while “thoughtfully exploring new products and opportunities.”

The transition in ownership will start today, and will be completed by January 1st.
