The Le Mars boys basketball team matched their season high in points defeating Sioux City North on Friday by the score of 78-57.
The Stars came out hot from the outside scoring 21 points and making five three-point baskets in the first quarter. After that, the Bulldogs allowed one three-point make the rest of the night. Head coach Cody Dyhrkopp says he was proud of his kids for making the necessary adjustments on defense.
On the offensive side, four Bulldogs scored in double figures in the win. Jack Wells led the way with 24 points and eight assists proving he could score and share the wealth. Coach Dyhrkopp says sharing the ball has been key to his team’s success.
Prior to this win, the Bulldogs had lost back-to-back games against good competition. Coach Dyhrkopp says this win will take some good energy into the break and into the beginning of 2026.
