Helen Flaherty, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died Monday, January 5, 2026, at the age of 101, at Avera Hospice House in Yankton, South Dakota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. Father Doug Klein will celebrate Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will be a Catholic Daughters of the Americas Rosary at 2:45 p.m. and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Monday at the church.
