Wells Enterprises donates $150,000 in support of Remsen St. Mary’s school expansion project

Wells vice president of corporate communications & institutional affairs Adam Baumgartner presents a $150,000 check to representatives of Remsen St. Mary’s Schools.

Wells Enterprises has donated $150,000 to the Remsen St. Mary’s school expansion project. The company made the announcement during a press conference at Remsen St. Mary’s High School yesterday afternoon, presenting a check to Fr. Tim Pick, school board president Barry Galles, and principal Kim Phillips.

Adam Baumgartner, vice president of corporate communications & institutional affairs at Wells, told KLEM that supporting and giving back to the community is a core part of the company.

Baumgartner says the donation fits with how Wells wants to support local and surrounding communities.

The Remsen St. Mary’s School Committee has raised over $8.5 million to help improve the teaching and learning environment in the district. Principal Kim Philips says the district’s “highest priority” is to relocate the elementary school building to the high school building, allowing all students to be on one campus.
