The Le Mars Community girls basketball team picked up their second-straight MRAC win on Friday night defeating Sioux City West 63-46.
The first half saw the Bulldogs get out to a sluggish start, but they did enough to lead the game heading into the break. Head coach Sidney Ruden says there was not much positive to take out of the first half.
In the second half, the Bulldogs got it going. Specifically in the third quarter, Le Mars outscored the Wolverines 23-8 in the frame. Coach Ruden says the offense was finally working together to succeed.
Just two games remain for the Bulldogs in the regular season to put on the finishing touches before tournament play. Those final touches, according to coach Ruden, need to be applied on the defensive side of the ball.
Le Mars is at Council Bluffs TJ on Tuesday and at Spencer on Friday to conclude the regular season. The Spencer game can be heard on KLEM Radio.
