An explosion occurred Monday afternoon at a corn processing facility near Marcus, Cherokee County Emergency Management confirmed.
Reports of an explosion at Little Sioux Corn Processors came in at around 4:30pm, with Emergency Management posting on Facebook at 5:17pm that all personnel and contractors were accounted for, and that the situation was under control. No major injuries or damage has been reported, although a truck driver received minor injuries.
Cherokee County Emergency Management later posted on Facebook stating that emergency crews were released from the facility at 6pm.
