Feenstra talks State of the Union speech, campaign trail

Congressman Randy Feenstra inside of KLEM’s studios on Thursday afternoon.

Congressman Randy Feenstra stopped by KLEM yesterday afternoon to discuss his reaction to President Trump’s State of the Union address, as well as his campaign for governor of Iowa. Feenstra told KLEM he thought the President gave a great speech on Tuesday.

The Hull native was in Le Mars as part of his ongoing statewide tour in support of his gubernatorial campaign. He highlighted the importance of building connections on the campaign trail, and stated that agriculture is the backbone of Iowa’s economy.

Feenstra says, if elected as governor, he hopes to connect and continue the work he’s done over his career.

Feenstra will run against four other candidates in the Republican primary on June 2nd, with the general election set for November 3rd.
