The Akron Opera House will debut the musical “GODSPELL” this week, with opening night set for Thursday, April 9th. Speaking on KLEM’s “What Now” show, Colleen Westergard-Baker, a member of the Opera House, explained what “GODSPELL” is about.
Westergard-Baker says the musical will feature the talents of more than 25 area performers.
She says the music in particular will stand out to the audience.
In a press release, director Val Phillips stated that the opera house was “excited” to present the musical, and said that “the musical’s powerful story and music make it favorite of all ages.” Performances will be held April 9th, 10th, and 11th at 7:30pm, and April 12th at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased for $18, with discounts available for senior citizens and students, by visiting akronoperahouse.org, or by calling 712-568-2614.
