Hinton’s Ashlyn Kramer shot a 78 on Tuesday at Willow Creek Golf Course and won her second-consecutive War Eagle Conference individual golf championship.
This is Kramer’s senior season, and she has put in a lot of time into getting better at the sport of golf. Kramer says her hard work at getting better has paid off.
It takes a complete round of golf to shoot in the 70s. Kramer says this was a complete round, and she was doing just about everything right.
Not only was driving impacted by the wind on Tuesday, but the short game was also heavily impacted by the conditions. Kramer says the wind made her think a little bit harder on how she wanted to approach each shot on the course.
Not only is Kramer looking to make a run at her third-straight state tournament berth, but she is hoping the rest of her team can join her too. She says everyone is going to need to play to their highest potential to make that a reality.
Hinton’s regional opening round is on Friday in Orange City. Advancing from that will send the Blackhawks to the regional final in Carroll on Wednesday, May 20.
