K9 Trials In Le Mars
This is the final day for K9 trials in Le Mars. The Plymouth County Sherriff’s Office and the Le Mars Police Department are hosting the USPCA Region 21 K9 trials held yesterday and today. Le Mars Police Department K9 Officer Bob Rohmiller told KLEM that yesterday three events took place at the trials including obedience, suspect search, and article search, and the trials continue today.
He said the events are all scored.
Rohmiller said he was mentored by former Le Mars Police Officer Mark Reed.
The Plymouth County Sherriff’s Office and the Le Mars Police Department each have two dogs. Rohmiller explained how they are used throughout the year.

Nashville Recording Artist to Perform at the Plymouth County Fair
Nashville recording artist Adam Calvert brings his “Freedom Like That Tour” to this week’s Plymouth County Fair. Calvert will perform on the Pioneer Village Stage with two shows on Friday at 6 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.
Calvert told us he’s looking forward to delivering a high energy show.
He talked about his newly released single “Freedom Feels Like That.”
Calvert will also perform at the Sac County Fair on August 1st, opening for Lonestar.

Meet John Norwood
Plymouth County Democrats have announced a meet and greet later this week for John Norwood, Candidate for Iowa State Treasurer. The event will take place on Thursday from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. (July 30) at Lally’s Eastside Restaurant on Plymouth Street in Le Mars.
