Alvin J. Howe, 85, of rural Hinton passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at his residence. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Schoop officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hinton, with military rites. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Travis officiating, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.
