Shirley Asseln, 87, of rural Ireton, Iowa passed away Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011 at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in LeMars, Iowa. Mass of Christian Buriall will be 10:00 a.m. Monday August 29, 2011 at St. James Catholic Church with Father Matt Hewitt officiating. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery at Craig, Iowa. Visitations with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in LeMars followed by a 7:00 p.m. Scriptural Wake Service Sunday evening at the funeral home. Visitations will continue Monday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Arrangements are with the Carlsen Furneral Home of LeMars, Iowa.
