(Le Mars) — Emergency rescue crews and law enforcement agencies responded to a roll-over accident that happened Saturday afternoon at about 3:18 p.m. The accident involved a pickup truck heading southbound on County Road K-22 at about the 15700 block between County road C-16 and Highway 3. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the driver hit a patch of ice on the roadway and lost control of his vehicle. The pickup ended up in the east side of the roadway in the yard of a farm. The driver of the vehicle refused medical attention. Responding to the roll-over accident were the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, Le Mars Fire and Rescue Department, and the Iowa State Patrol. Plymouth County Secondary Roads Department also assisted at the scene, and was seen depositing sand to the icy patch.
