At approximately 7:45am this Morning, July 18th, 2025, LeMars Police and LeMars Fire Rescue were dispatched to HyVee Gas for a victim of an accidental discharge of a firearm. During the investigation, officers were able to determine the victim was attempting to unload and secure a firearm when it accidentally discharged a round into the victim’s leg. The male victim was transported to Floyd Valley Healthcare by Le Mars Fire Rescue.
