Christmas in Hometown Le Mars announces new two-day schedule

Christmas in Hometown Le Mars has announced their schedule for this year, with the event now expanding to two days.

The festival will now have a kickoff event on Friday, November 28th, alongside the events on Saturday. During the Friday Night Kickoff, the Holiday Train and skating rink will be open, as well as oversized games and the Christmas scavenger hunt at participating businesses downtown. The decision to expand the festival to two days was to give people the opportunity to experience events at the Olson Events Center early, according to a press release.

Two new activities will debut on Saturday, November 29th. New carriage rides will take visitors on a scenic tour of downtown, and a Festival of Trees and nativity display will be showcased at the Plymouth County Historical Museum.

Other returning events include the Santa’s Fun Run 5K & Kids Dash, a Christmas carnival, on-stage performances from dancers, musicians, and the Browns in concert, a live nativity and Tree Lighting Ceremony, and more. For more information on the activities and events taking place this year, visit the Christmas in Hometown Le Mars website.

The celebration kicks off on Friday, November 28th, and concludes on Saturday, November 29th.
