The Le Mars Community softball program is sending another player to college as Taylor Rolfes signed yesterday to play next season at Buena Vista University.
Rolfes felt a connection to the school after getting an opportunity to work out there at some camps. She says the people in the program make it special.
Le Mars head coach Brooke Berkenpas says Rolfes has brought some intangible qualities to the Bulldog program that will make her a valuable addition in Storm Lake.
Rolfes says playing softball at a higher level in high school prepares her well for the tough competition she will see in college.
Rolfes becomes the second Bulldog in as many years to set off for the college game. Coach Berkenpas says this shows the level of play in the Bulldog program keeps getting better.
Buena Vista went 7-27 last year and is set to open their 2026 season on February 28 in Rochester, Minnesota.
