The Le Mars Stingray Swim Team, a club team for children aged 5-to-18-years-old organized by the Le Mars Area YMCA, is open for registration for new members.
Team practices in the summer are held five days a week at the Le Mars Outdoor Pool, with coaches helping to build every swimmer’s personal skills and endurance via structured workouts. Once swimmers have built their skills, they are provided opportunities to swim competitively with other teams from Iowa. To join the team, swimmers must be able to swim at least 25 yards across the pool; team members are not required to be members of the YMCA.
The summer swim team program will cost $100 per swimmer, with practices running Monday-Friday from 9:30-10:30am from June 1st-27th. The final swim meet will take place on the 27th at the Le Mars Outdoor Pool, with other meets to be made available to swim team members. Registration is available online at lemarsymca.org.
