Lyle Michael Schuetz, age 79, of Remsen, died unexpectedly, Saturday June 27th at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital Wichita, Kansas while visiting his Kansas family and his cattle.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA with Fr. Timothy Pick officiating. Burial will follow the lunch at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Alton, IA. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 3328, American Legion Post 220 of Remsen and Floyd American Legion Post 200 of Alton, IA. Visitation with family present will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday. There will be a parish rosary and vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. Visitation will resume 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
