Cub Scout Sign-Up Night
Monday night’s Cub Scout sign-up at Foster Park in Le Mars was well attended.
Scoutmaster Matt Schilling says that’s an indication that scouting in Le Mars is on the rise.
Schilling says the program includes offering a number of activities.
He says there are also popular day camps offered.

City Administrator Jason Vacura provides project updates
The City of Le Mars is making headway on their community betterment projects. Jason Vacura, the Le Mars City Administrator, provided updates at the last City Council meeting.
The O’Toole Park splash pad looks to be finished soon, and will open next year.
Municipal Park has made headway with athletic courts, parking, and the banquet hall expansion.
The Cleveland Park project may soon enter the design phase.
Vacura also spoke on the Le Mars Area Betterment Foundation and their help with the project.
The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15th.
