Grand Meadow Festival Celebrates 50 Years of Fun

The Grand Meadow Heritage Festival in Washta, Iowa is celebrating 50 years of festival fun this year.  The annual event is set for this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, September 12th and 13th.

Event Coordinator Bethany Grell says this year’s festival includes great music including a group called the American Bombshells.

She says the festival has added a “Little Miss and Mister” contest this year.

Grell told KLEM the Heritage Festival features live demonstrations, a car and tractor show, over 50 local vendors, and award-winning food.
