Siouxland/Plymouth County Cyclists gear up for 9th Annual Cranksgiving
The 9th Annual Cranksgiving food drive, sponsored by Siouxland and Plymouth County Cyclists to benefit the Food Bank of Siouxland, takes place today. Le Mars riders will be out from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and Sioux City riders will be out from 1-2:30 p.m.
Katie Bak, one of the event organizers, says about a dozen Le Mars cyclists braved the cold last year. They’ll have to do it again, as Saturday morning temperatures will be in the 40s.
Prizes are given out to riders for various achievements.
Bak sees the event as a way to “kickstart the holiday.”
Donations to the Food Bank of Siouxland are also accepted at the link below.
