Richard J. Stoos, 71 years old, of Remsen, Iowa passed away surrounded by his family Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at his home in Remsen after a lengthy illness. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy and Deacon Rick Roder officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen with an escort provided by the Patriot Guard Riders Graveside military honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 3328 and American Legion Post 220 of Remsen. Visitation will be anytime after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012. There will be a parish rosary at 3:00 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary all at the Fisch Funeral Home and Monument at Remsen.
