(Le Mars) — Gehlen Catholic celebrated its Homecoming festivities by crowning its new king and queen. The 2017 Gehlen Catholic King was awarded to Lucas McCarty, the son of Mark and Judi McCarty of Le Mars, and this year’s queen was awarded to Abbie Dickman, daughter of Stu and Donna Dickman. McCarty says he never had imagined that he would be selected as Gehlen Catholic Homecoming King. He reflects on the honor and talks about his activities.
Abbie Dickman was also surprised at being named the Gehlen Catholic Homecoming Queen.
