(LE MARS)–The first event in the 2011 “Wine and Roses Festival” to benefit the Big Sioux Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is a success.
“A Time to Remember” at the Le Mars Willow Creek Golf Course kicked off fund raising Thursday night. A steak dinner complimented by select wines was served.
The proceeds of the Le Mars event and the “Winemaker’s Dinner” at Bev’s on the River in Sioux City Friday night as well the signature event, “A Night of Wine and Roses” Saturday night at Bev’s, provide funds for services and programs to Siouxland residents fighting Alzheimer’s disease throughout the Big Sioux service area.
Steve and Danna Schuster of Le Mars chaired “A Time to Remember.” The “Winemaker’s Dinner” and “Gala Tasting and Auction” in Sioux City are chaired by Dr. Carol Roge and Greg Jones.
