Leon Meis, 80, a longtime resident of Granville and Alton, died peacefully at Good Samaritan in LeMars, IA on January 1, 2014.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton, IA with Rev. Gerald Hartz officiating & Rev. Terry Roder, Rev. Paul Eisele, Rev. Robert Gralapp, & Msgr. Kenneth Seifried concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton, IA. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. Services have been entrusted to the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument of Remsen.
