Gertrude “Gert” Sommervold, 96, of Akron, Iowa passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Akron Care Center in Akron.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Union Creek Lutheran Church, rural Akron, Iowa. Reverend Carla Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday and following the service during a time of lunch and fellowship, all at the church.
