Dean Johnson, 80, of Pierson, Iowa, passed Monday, June 27, 2016 at Madonna Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Kingsley, Iowa, with Rev. Duane Miesner officiating. Burial will be at Grand Meadow Cemetery, rural Washta, Iowa, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 140 of Kingsley, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm, Thursday, with the family being present 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa. Rohde Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
