(Le Mars) — Northbound traffic was backed up for at least a mile for approximately
20 minutes on Highway 75 after two vehicles collided at the junction of Highway 75
and County road C-38 Thursday afternoon. The accident happened at about 2:47 p.m.
A pick up truck was heading westbound and crossing Highway 75 at the intersection
when it failed to yield to a white car heading north. The car suffered front end
damage, while the pickup truck sustained damage on the side panel. The driver of
the car suffered a leg injury and was transported to the Floyd Valley Healthcare by
the Le Mars Ambulance. Meanwhile, the driver of the pick up truck did not have any
injuries. Responding to the scene were the Le Mars Fire and Rescue Department, Le
Mars Ambulance, and the Le Mars Police Department. The accident remains under
investigation.
