Dale R. Vander Kooi, 86, of Merrill, Iowa passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 20, 2020. Due to the current public health mandate, a public Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at a later date. A private family service will be held with burial at Hillside Cemetery in Merrill, Iowa, conducted by Pastor Mike Metten of Rejoice! Community Church in Le Mars. Military honors will be conducted by Oleson Halweg American Legion Post # 125 of Merrill. The Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
