(Le Mars) — KLEM’s Sports Director and Morning Announcer, Denny Callahan is celebrating his 70th birthday today, (February 9th). Of those 70 years, 48 of them have been behind the microphone at KLEM calling play-by-play sports action of the Le Mars Community Bulldogs and Gehlen Catholic Jays, along with at times Remsen St. Mary’s Hawks, Akron-Westfield Westerners, MMCRU Royals, Hinton Blackhawks, and Kingsley-Pierson Panthers. Everyday, at approximately 8:10 a.m., Denny Callahan wishes a happy birthday to those people celebrating a birthday. Today, it is our turn to wish Denny a Happy Birthday.
