(Le Mars) — The 41st annual Knights of Columbus phone-a-thon is happening today with Knights from across Plymouth County making telephone calls requesting donations to help support Life Skills Training Center and Iowa Special Olympics. Justin Freking is the chairman for the Le Mars phone-a-thon. He says the phone-a-thon ties in well with the mission of the Knights of Columbus.
Freking says the phone-a-thon requires many volunteers.
Freking says the annual phone-a-thon will continue until 9:00 p.m. this evening. He says he is appreciative of the generosity exhibited by Plymouth County residents for this fund raising campaign.
The local Knights of Columbus official says it helps with donations that the people of Plymouth County are familiar with the annual phone-a-thon.
