Julie Beitelspacher To Retire From Banking After 30 Plus Years Of Service

(Le Mars)  — A long-time employee of Primebank will be retiring at the end of September.  Julie Beitelspacher has been with Primebank and formerly known as Le Mars Savings and even Le Mars Bank and Trust for more than 31 years.  She recalls when she was first hired to work at the bank following her graduation from the former Westmar College.

Beitelspacher says she wasn’t certain at the time she was initially hired if she wanted to have banking as her career.

Beitelspacher says what she will miss about her job is seeing her fellow employees on a daily basis, and the many customers who have become her friends.

The long-time bank employee has been active with many organizations and activities away from the bank.  She is a member of the Le Mars Rotary, LEEP (Le Mars Enhanced Education Program), Plymouth County Fair, among other organizations and volunteer opportunities.  Beitelspacher says she believes she will remain active with those organizations long after her retirement from the bank.

One area that Beitelspacher will focus more time is with her family.  She is the mother of two children and five grandchildren, and like many other people, Beitelspacher proudly displays photos of her children and grandchildren on her desk.

Away from the bank, Julie is often times busy cooking, baking, canning, serving lunches, preparing meals, and other duties found in a kitchen. Anyone that follows Julie Beitelspacher on Facebook as often noticed Julie referencing her kitchen as “Hilltop Café”.  She tells how it came about having that moniker.

Primebank held an open house Tuesday afternoon in Julie Beitelspacher’s honor.  During the open house, Julie was presented with the Chamber of Commerce’s “Boss of the Quarter” award by Chamber Ambassador Kevin Eekhoff.

As a retiring gift, Primebank officials presented Julie with a wall chime clock with a country scene on the face of the clock.  When the clock hits the top of the hour, the clock will chime and play music, all while the face of the clock splits in half and rotates during the chimes and music.  She says she may have to have a box of tissues handy for the occasion.
