KLEM-Land Community Champions

The 2023 KLEM-land Community Champion recipients have been announced. Six individuals have been selected by a group of judges from all the nominations received at KLEM Radio.

The Community Champions program is an effort to recognize young adults who are making a difference where we live! A vibrant part of that mix is the talented class of young professionals. Nominees must live and/or work in Plymouth County and be between the ages of 18 and 40.

This year’s recipients include the following six champions:

Emma Brennan is a student at Le Mars Community High School.

Margaret Catton is Production Services Manager at M. Catton & Company.

Mitch Christoffel is the General Manager at Total Motors.

Danielle Heying is an Ag Instructor and FFA Advisor at Le Mars Community School.

Kyan Ludwig is an IT Administrator at NIPCO.

Jessica Martinez is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Floyd Valley Healthcare.

Nominees were judged in categories including career or education success, mentorship/leadership, and civic/philanthropic activities. Over the next several weeks KLEM will highlight each recipient and the many contributions they have made to the community.

The winners will each receive a commemorative trophy from Plymouth Awards and Engraving. The Community Champions will each be showcased with an interview on KLEM Radio, along with a feature on the KLEM website and Facebook page.

Sponsors of the first Community Champions program include: Wells Enterprises, the Sitzmann Real Estate Team, Floyd Valley Healthcare, Total Motors, and Primebank. Judges were not affiliated with the sponsors of the program.
