Brunsville Park Receives New Playground Equipment

A local park in Brunsville recently received new playground equipment, with the community coming together last weekend to install the new equipment.

Trista Hodgson, a local who helped in the effort for the new playground, explained the need for new equipment to KLEM.

Planning for the new playground started in May. Hodgson says the community applied for a grant to make the new equipment happen.

Installation occurred last Saturday. Community members in Brunsville volunteered to put in place the new equipment, then got together afterwards for lunch. Hodgson says that she’s grateful for everyone who came out to help.

Other recent improvements to the park made by Brunsville locals include powerwashing benches and restaining the bridge. Hodgson says that more improvements in the park are being planned by the community, including upgrades to the shelter house, garbage cans, and replacing the gravel in the park with wood chips.
